Malaïka’s “Place I Go To,” featuring Ria Boss, began as an a cappella melody. It passed through an interlude on her debut EP, 27, before developing into a full-band recording rooted in soul and jazz.

Creatizine’s coverage traces an arrangement developed by producer Enid Blekk and creative director/A&R Kafui Offori, with vocal production and recording by Tronomie. The song explores safety, belonging and self-discovery.

The collaboration also brings together two artists whose connection began after Malaïka saw Ria Boss perform in 2019. Their shared recording gives that creative friendship a new form.
